They say that if less than 1% of our sweat comes from the underarms, why not develop products that also address the other parts of the body that perspire?<\/p>\n Procter & Gamble<\/strong> says its researchers studied 4,000 people<\/strong> and found that 50\u201360% are concerned about groin odor, 20\u201330% are concerned about chest or under-breast odor, and 30\u201350% worry about foot odor<\/strong>. While whole-body products can be used in targeted ways to solve a problem you\u2019ve already identified \u2013 such as on the feet or in the groin \u2013 using it head to toe is silly, said several dermatologists contacted by CBS News. As most of our skin doesn\u2019t sweat, whole-body use mostly sells a lot of deodorant. Furthermore, they worry about allergic reactions. People with sensitive skin run the risk of causing itching and contact dermatitis, and women may inadvertently change their vaginal microbiome with indiscriminate use \u2013 potentially making them more prone to vaginal infections.<\/p>\n Remember, sweat itself generally doesn\u2019t smell until bacteria are involved.\u202fGood hygiene goes a long way in keeping bacterial growth and odour minimal. Change your sweaty clothes and shoes frequently, and avoid tight-fitting fabric.
